On July 25 2019, the Devils new addition, superstar defenseman P.K. Subban, the 2013-2014 Norris Trophy winner, was interviewed by Matt Loughlin at a pep rally, along with Hall Of Fame New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur, and Devils coach John Hynes. When asked how he felt about coming to New Jersey Subban replied “When I got the call from Poile I nearly jumped over the counter, I was so excited.” He felt very strongly about [Devils] their success and he said, “I want a Stanley Cup. And I want it in New Jersey” I think the three-time all-star brings a lot of talent to the Devils who have struggled to find scoring defenseman recently. When I interviewed him I asked, “What are your expectations for your first year as a Devil?” Subban said, “To come in and learn the way we play and see how to use my skills and talents to help the team win”
